X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

Quick; someone sell me an X6 xDrive50i.

I'm tired and aggravated after about an hour of online car shopping. None of my local (south Florida) dealers even display inventory on their websites and I'm not looking to go spend hours of my life begging someone to sell me something.

The long and the short of it; I'm looking for the following vehicle. I'm looking to lease it for 36 months and need 15000 miles per year.

I currently own an 06 M5 and an invoice deal (or better) will get my business.

Please email me at alaneosso at gmail dot com with information.

Oh, and a courtesy delivery at my local dealer, whom I don't really like at all, would be even better.

X6 purchase

Big Top - with all due respect, with the X6 in short supply and with virtually no inventory available, why would a dealer sell you a car at no profit or at a loss? I do consulting work to the industry and took delivery of my X6 5.0 performance package knowing the dealer was making $1500 on me, which I don't think is unreasonable on an $83,000 transaction.

FYI, the vehicle is terrific. I have only two regrets - the car needs active steering and really needs blind spot indicators. I've got 20's, and the huge tires look great but nibble at road irregularities. I believe active steering would help, and, it would tighten up the lock to lock effort, as it feels just a little bit "trucky". The blind spot is bad. Really bad. Blind spot indicators should be standard.

I hope you find a dealer to do business with. My local dealer, Fields BMW is terrific, and makes owning the car a real dream. It's my 10th Bimmer, all from Fields. I believe they have locations in Orlando, Daytona Beach, Lakeland and Winter Park.

Good luck, and enjoy the ride. You'll love it.

I was going to buy one of the X6 M's but I went with the X5 M because it is true, the blind spots suck, and it only seats 4, which is ridiculous for a car it's size. Btw, Fields does have a location in Orlando, not sure about the rest, it's on the same road as my company's office there.

Regarding the X6's blind spot...

It was one of my primarily concerns prior to ordering my X6. Although it's certainly a legitimate concern, I was surprised by how quickly I adapted and don't have a problem at all anymore.

Big Top - not sure that you purchaced yet, but...Lauderdale BMW Pembroke Pines has sold me several BMW's all at very close pricing. I just picked up my 2011 X6 a few days ago and they were more competitive than 2 other dealers.
