X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

X6 and tinting

Hey Guys!

Three weeks from today I'll be at the PCD.... Woohoo!

Anyway, we decided that at some point along the trip back to California we're going to have the windows tinted. We're spending about three days in Chicago and figured we wouldn't need to have the care the entire time so I called one of the dealerships and set an appointment. Their quote for tint for all but the front window was $425 for the tint. For those of you that have had tinting down on your X6 does this sound in the right range or should I start looking around?

I just had the front two windows done to match the factory back (rear climate package) and total was $80. Your price seems high for the back ones only, but that's just my sense based on previous cars, etc.
