Whats up bimmerfest. So I guess I posted to soon. I towed my car to Ronin Autowerks in Fullerton. Had the issue with my car shutting off and going to neutral. I changed the integrated supply module under the passenger micro filter. I guess it needed to get recoded. All fault codes have been removed. Ronin did a excellent job. The car is up and running again and I have no issues with my engine shutting down and going to neutral so far. Thank again.

Similiar symptoms
Recently purchased an 07 750li. After having the transmission pan/gasket and mech sleeve changed at the dealership, I am now experiencing DCS Malfunctions and Transmission Faults usually on the initial start of the day. They usually go away after the first drive of the day. The car even shut off on me while driving on a side street (luckily) and a transmission fault appeared. I brought it back to the dealership and they have diagnosed that the car needs a new Comfort Access Control Unit. They say the unit is malfunctioning causing a battery drain over night. Does this sound close to being accurate? Thanks

Thank you Ikob!!!! Took my 07 750li to the dealership and told them i was getting trans failsafe faults and intermittent "no starts". On the dash cluster, my voltage would never exceed 11.6 with the car off and would fluctuate between 14.7-15.0 while running with no lights, radio or heater. I thought it was either my battery or alternator. They said my charging system checked out ok and i had no stored faults concerning the trans faults and they were unable to replicate the issue. I asked about the IVM and they said they didn't see anything suggesting it needed to be changed. I left the dealership and went to autozone to have my charging system re-checked. They said my battery was good, but the alternator failed the voltage regulator test twice and passed twice. The diodes passed all 4 times. They suggested I had a bad alt because it was fluctuating too much and running too high. I Then I took it to an indy where they also tested my charging system and said my battery was a little low but thought the faults were caused by an electrical issue. I asked to have the battery changed anyhow and now they just called saying they have narrowed my issue down to the intergrated supply module (IVM). While on the phone I was thinking, Ikob is the M.A.N.!!! crossing my fingers!

after reading other posts, it looks like a plug and play type of service.
