Alpina b7 rims and sizes

Hi guys, bought another 7 series, I had the old shape previously, now I have an 09, F01.

I really dislike my rims and like the Alpina B7 look, which do you think is the closest below? Here are the original alpina's http://shows.autospies.com/gallery/a...&galleryId=108

Does anyone know if they have done something to the vehicle so it can fit bigger rear tires? I believe the standard 7 series version has all 4 the same?

I say link #2 is the closest (the AEZ)

They have the most spokes in the most evenly spread out configuration, which comes close to Alpina's original "zillion-spoke configuration" - can't remember where I read that, or if it was Top Gear who said it, anyway thought it was hilarious.

The first link (Tomason) has too few spokes while the third link (Corniche) has a different style of how the spokes connect to the center of the wheel.

They are all very nice looking wheels though.

I like the AEZ. Can you get the right sizes? A 285 on the rear looks killer.

So no need to do anything special on a 750LI? They just fit on the rims and do not touch the paintwork or anything?

Also I am thinking of going for the 20's I think 21's perhaps a bit much?

Why not just buy Alpina wheels?

I assume the price tag on the OEM Alpina wheels is making him look at reps, I know that's the reason why I didn't buy them lol.

How much for B7 wheels? But personally I think the factory individual 5 spokes 21' wheels looks killer. But they cost almost 7K for a set. For the price, there are better choice out there, HRE for instance.

Yes precisely, these care depreciate like a stone. I just got 120k euro car for 34k euro and it is 3 years old only next month. You need balls of steel to buy them new.

Same with the rims, I guess Alpina's have a good resale value though. I have had enough of losing cash on cars. Fuel and insurance are nothing compared to depreciation, it is the #1 you should look at if you are a tight ass like me.

Good point though I am going to look for some Alpina's on ebay.

From €120,000 to €34,000 in less than 3 years? That sounds way too low! How many miles on the car? There is of course very high depreciation on all high end cars, but that just seems really wrong. Did you check the title? Is it salvaged??

I have the BMW 312 OEM Wheels (Ferric Grey) 21 inch with 285 tires in the rear...no modifications or spacers needed..

Are the rims from previous 7(e65?) fit on our F01/F02? I know the 21's won't fit because of low offsets, but how about the smaller ones like 20', 19', or even 18's??

It is an ex politicians car, so I guess the state looses out Audi A8, Mercs they are all the same. The car is spotless, like new.

I just sold a 997 turbo that was 2 years older than my 7 for 55k and I guess they cost almost the same new. The car sold in 10 days. Good lesson there I guess, the Panamera will probably be similar.

Maybe in the US they have higher residuals but it was the same deal with the last 7 series I bought, was 30% of the original value after 3 years.

I lost a lot on a ferrari, fun times, but lost several expensive round the world holidays on it Life is not all about money I know but one thing a new 7 series is not is an investment.

Ok thanks, do you have the 245's on the front as per the alpina spec?

I have 18's now, just looks terrible, like i have winter wheels on.

I found a set of these quite cheap but I know nothign about the numbers apart form they are 21"

Will these fit a 750li? I do not understand the offset stuff.

I don't think so, I think the offset should be at least greater than +30. Can't remember the F01's offset exactly.
