Possible. Or else that's from the last crash that car was in and the driver just never fixed it, since they suck at driving and knew they'd hit something else...

Nope. They just left it there. That lot is flat and covered with loose gravel. Nothing would roll unless there was an earthquake. (Which there wasn't) Also, they were there before I pulled in and parked on the end of the row, so there was plenty of space. Still can't figure why anyone would park like that.

I agree. I believe the red SUV is a goner as well. It looks like the airbags deployed. It is also an older vehicle.

you could well be correct - I don't know my Toyota models that well - but I could tell it was a sequoia - doing some quick google image searches, it seems the last model year they split that rear passenger window was 2007 - so it is probably an 05-07 model - my *guess* would be an 07. Autotrader has '07's at as much as $28k and as low as $11.8k - if it is low mileage it might repair - higher mileage and probably not.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...rch=true&Log=0

it also looks like the '08 might have had a rear split passenger window and those wheels...

Possible also, but the scuffs to the front tire suggest the damage is pretty recent.

Like I said, tight parking around here. You gotta do what you gotta do...

He/they couldn't get out since one wheel was off the ground. They tried for a few minutes but then the police car came by, they vanished.

I know you are taking even less parking space than you normally do. But dude, that doesn't mean you can park 4' from the curbstone.

I don't get that - the car has an NCP logo on it - that's a car park company in the UK:

http://www.ncp.co.uk/

Perhaps it was car park rage giving a ticket to someone like the cars behind parked on the grass/dirt - ie, not in a proper spot...

Good eye. You're close it seems. Google image search led to the real story:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...rt-warden.html

Quote:
A DOZY traffic warden tipped up his Smart car when he tried to snoop on parkers.

The sneaky jobsworth drove into a car park with a 15ft camera mast to spy on drivers who hadn't paid. But he forgot about it when he tried to drive out again.

The retractable mast snagged on the barrier and upended his little car.

The driver, who was unhurt, was heard phoning his boss at Traffic Enforcement Systems to say: "I've done something really stupid."

Onlooker Des Carmody, who snapped the calamity in Luton, Beds, said: "There was a loud bang and I turned to see the car rising up in the air to settle on its tailgate."

It certainly wasn't the cleverest bit of driving."

But it will be a fine sight for Britain's motorists.
