I don't think that the owner of that car is a douche bag, I'd probably park the same way if I couldn't find an end spot. That car is a customized 1956 Ford. (might be a 1955, but I'm pretty sure it's a 1956)

How is it that it's always a large SUV that double parks in front of Starbucks, takes up 2 spaces, parks right on the line, parks in a fire lane, or parks in a space clearly marked for doctors patients only when they are going to the bank or post office?

Somehow others would take advantage of the extra space on my spot and park even closer to my spot, or just swing open the car doors without even think about how big their doors are.
Thing is, is it was parked by a valet, so keying the car would have only harmed the owner, not the valet. Forgot to mention that the valet guys were watching me to see if I could get in, I made them move it. Pretty sure it was a few new guys at a restaurant I frequent a lot, had never seen them before that day. Still to this day have no idea why they wanted to screw with me.

I was out and about today in Westport. You know parking lots where they change the angle of the parking spaces, so that there is a small triangular space between the two spaces where the angle is changed? It is always a challenge to find a space in this lot as the lot is specific to a few stores, Williams-Sonoma and Brooks Brothers among them. I got lucky. A newish (2010 or 2011) 328 decided not to take the one available space - my lucky day. As I was pulling in, I saw why the BMW opted out. The car to my right was over the line into my space, I had about 3" to open the door. I didn't really care that much as I was driving my Camry - 178,000 miles and counting. Walking over to Williams-Sonoma, I discovered the problem. The rather large vehicle, a current model Honda Passport, parked next to the triangular area was parked about a foot and a half from the left side (where no other car was allowed to park), and way over into the space to its right, thus cramming every other car. It was probably as bad as I've ever seen. The Passport had so much sh!t in it, including a woman's hand bag, that one could only surmise that the hulking vehicle was leased. If the driver was a regular to the shopping area, the DB knew that parking spaces are hard to get, but just didn't care.

It... does not.

I never park that way anywhere for fear of giving someone a reason to key my car.

Based on the color and "rims," I would guess that the owner has gold teeth and once played in the NBA. And has probably been in prison.

Another one. Such a valuable car needs to be protected.

Does the parking in the lines rule count if your truck doesnt fit in-between the lines? (Yes,I was at the back of the lot too)

I would think as long as you try to hit it center you would be fine far away from other cars. What kind of truck doesn't fit between the lines?

I did the best I could Our plowtruck doesnt fit in the lines at the mall. At least, not with the plow on it. I had to drive it because at the time my E30 was outta commission and I needed some vehicle to drive while the parts took their time getting to me
