Eco Credit = Payment?
Hey guys... maybe you know.
The current offer for a 2011 X5 35d states a payment of $519/month. Nowhere does it state that the Eco Credit has been taken into account (at least that I can see), yet the dealer says the $519 takes the credit into account? When I estimate the payment on the BMW site I can't come anywhere close to the $519 with or without the eco credit? Is it feasible to expect getting a $519 36 month lease payment with no money down on a $56,725 MSRP I tried to estimate a payment based on $2,000 over invoice less eco-credit and still come up with a payment of $600+ What gives? |

While they do not specifically say that the eco credit has been applied, BMW does apply all applicable rebates, incentives, option credits, etc. when they calculate the payment. Therefore, the BMW special is with the $4,500 eco credit plus an additional $4,100 cap cost reduction. If you take away that $4,100 down payment your payment would be in the $650 range which seems much more realistic.

Thanks for clarifying
![]() So if one could get the MSRP down to $2,000 or less above invoice there is a chance of getting the monthly payment to the $500+ neighborhood? It seems that some on this board have gotten $2,000 and even less above invoice

You are going to get FLEECED big time. Do yourself a huge favor and spend some time on the Ask a Dealer section, learning about how leasing really works.
$1,000 over invoice is the high end. $500 over deals are available, if you shop around. The other parts of the equation are the Money Factor and the residual. The dealer can mark up the MF over the buy rate. The residual will vary based upon the number of miles you are buying. You need to spec out the options you want ... figure out the invoice cost plus agreed-upon dealer profit ... apply any available credits or rebates to get the cap cost ... learn the current month MF and residual for the deal you want ... then plug all of this in to one of the available lease calculators. This will tell you what you should be expecting to pay for your lease.

I had a question on Eco Credit and thought of posting this on this thread instead of creating a new topic.. Hope that is OK
I noticed on the dealer Price sheet that the Eco Credit discount (4500) was applied after calculating the taxes.. Is this how it worked for everyone who purchased the X5D? Also is the Ultimate driving event credit of $1000 before or after taxes ?? Thank you for your replies. |
