New guy here, 04 Z4
Just want to say hello.
It has been a while since I have had a sports car.
Have owned and worked on many German cars in the past.

Just scored on a nice 1 owner 2004 Z4 3.0i, perm, sport, 6 speed manual.
55,000 miles
Here are some pics. It is in excellent condition.
I have already read many posts as I am getting ready to base line all fluids, filters, belts, spark plugs, valve cover gasket etc as I am a mantaince nut.
Brakes and rotors look almost new.
The RFT have to go. I have ordered performance tires.
Anyone need almost new RFT? Let me know.

I really like that color blue with the interior. Welcome to the site Are you an Oregon or Oregon State fan? You can't be both LOL.

I went to OSU but I live in Eugene (U of O country)
I am a fan of both until the civil war then I go Ducks.
Mainly because I hate being around my co-workers when the Ducks lose
Of course last weekend was no problem

Of course you can be a fan of both...when 2 (+ 1 inlaw) went to UofO and 1 (+ 1 inlaw) went to OSU...you HAVE to be a fan of both. But of course you disappear on Civil War day...

Things to Look For...
Search the forum (and others) for discussions about 3 things to look for on Z4's: (1) engine ticking = exhaust valves; (2) sticky steering; and (3) wear on top (note the two bulges on YOUR top at the back edge; they sometimes rub and cause wear). Otherwise head any direction out of Eugene and enjoy the twisties...

Portland. Also, I'm having my top drains cleaned out right now, something that we NWers should probably do regularly with all the rain we get. Going to try to get a look at the top motor to see how its fared, since I'm the 2nd owner. Several threads about this issue as well, as well as a DIY on how to clean the drains yourself.

I think the engine ticking issue only pertains to the 2006+ Z4's with the N52 engine. I've never heard of the M54B30 engine having any ticking issues.

PO was in California but I will clean them just to make sure.
