Angel eyes?

So I've seen pics all over the web of E24's with angeleyes in the headlights.. Just wondering are there any aftermarket lights for the shark that these come in? Or is it a conversion? Anybody know how to do it?

not 1985 bmw's, as long as BMW's have been made relatively few models have actually come from the factory with "angel eyes"

to each their own - I like em as close to stock as possible - retains their value much more as well

the stupid circle things around the edge of the headlight I think originally on the older 5ers...

That is OEM - but everyone and their mom is now putting them on their cars...even if they are not BMW's sometimes...It's just a fad - if we ignore it long enough maybe it will go away

Those things are hideous! And no, I don't believe the E28s ever had those bug eyes. I do love the euro style lights on the Euro E28s. Now those are awesome!

if anything, put some ellipsoids on and call it a day. angel eyes or "halos" cant look any more silly on a 6er. like 6 brit said, it just looks tacky

hello guys , my name is Felix, i am a newbie here....i have a 1984 635csi auto and sometime people pass by and look at the car for it is originaL body , and parts. the only thing i have changed is the wheels and the previous owner had it for 15 years and kept it as original he could. if u start modifying the car to much it wont look original cos it aint origibal with all the new bits and bobs that u add. that my personal point of view. 635csi its a lovley car the way it is .

we are here to comment.!!!!!. to talk!!!!, small and big time conversations...etc etc etc BUT CRITICISING other members comments i find it rude . a good advice is to think before you comment.

dont HATE me cause Im different.

Sorry if Im straight forward and looking for answers. Bimmers come of the assemble line looking alike, I love my 6 but I want aftermarket parts to be different. Seeing as though the automobile is not worth a lot in the best condition, Im changing more than just the rims. Happy Holiday......

It is your car, so you can do what you want to it. Like you said, you're just not in the norm of 6er Enthusiasts.

Experimentation is good with E30s. But not with E24s. One shouldn't mess with perfection (E24 design).

Change

Change is always good, seeing as though I've owned the auto for over twenty years it is time for change. I've done some research on the angel eyes for E24's and you can find them on ebay for around $100. Happy Motoring.......Perfection is in the eye of the beholder, until someone recreates perfection.

I say go for it, if you like it you keep it, if you hate it you sell it... Plus most of the time, non BMW people will be judging you, and they don't care about originality half the time.

That being said... I've seen angel eyes in dodge chargers and ford f150s, and cobalt, so that being said... Angel Eyes aren't for every car, proceed cautiously.

BTW...Change is NOT always good. "Beauty" is in the eye of the beholder and angel eyes for an E24 is still a really really bad idea (no matter which angle you are looking from). AND the E24 design is as perfect as any car design will EVER get. You can mess with the homely E34s, E39s, etc. bimmers, the E24 will never be recreated! Timeless Classics that are NEVER mistaken for "something else". Built in the 80's and still looks 10 times better than the 2010 cars….

I can't believe how many views this @#$%! thread got for headlights….AUWE!
