I found the video on another thread, but this was the extent of the DIY.

Its basically the same as the E92 video shows. However, the windshield washer tank on the driver's side make it a bit more of a pain. Might have to pull the Driver's side tire off to make it easier. Personally, I just pull the whole bumper off lol. I've taken it off so many times it only takes me 5-10 min.

How about a DIY on it - even if you just reference it with parts pics from realoem??

If you have a DIY about pulling the bumper, that would help too. Also, be safe on your overseas deployment. God be with you 30YrVeteran !!

Just found the most comprehensive fog light replacement thread on a 300 forum. Guy does an excellent job testing and comparing the competeing brands/technologies for fog light replacement. Keep in mind - like E92 lighting states - the E63/64 Halogen bulb replacement type is 9006. The 9006 style is NOT a "true" HID (Xenon filled) bulb ... but a normal halogen, fillement sytle lightbulb. The kicker is - depending on what brand you buy - you can find a solution that matches the E63/64 HID headlamps in both color and/or brightness. Give this a thread a read if you like to ride with your fog lights on and hate looking at the fugly mismatch between the yellow OEM fogs and the super white/blue OEM HID's. Thread gives you the best options for color matching the fogs, without converting them them to a true HID w/Ballast system. I was considering purchasing the 9006 Sylvaina SilverStar Ultra's until I read this ...enjoy!

I changed out my fog light bulbs a few weeks ago based on this thread by loosening enough of a gap in the plastic fenderwells without pulling the wheels off - one side was a little tight but manageable. fogs look great - no issues or error codes.

I've been driving my 645CI since 2004. I went online today for help and just signed up on this forum today. Thanks very much for providing this video. I purchased the replacement fog light this afternoon and now I know how to quickly install it because of your video. If you have any info on replacing the Halo light let me know. I tried to purchase it from a parts store and they could only offer the enitre headlamp assembly. I'll check the forum now that I'm signed up. Thanks again for taking the trouble to make the Video.

I BOUGHT sylvania silverstar ultra 9006 BUT IT'S NOT WHITE. IT'S LIKE OEM YELLOW BUT LITTLE BIT BETTER THEN OEM.
I GOING TO SELL
Sylvania Silverstar ULTRA 2pack 9006 HiPerformance, THAT I BOUGHT.

I'M GOING TO UPGRADE WITH HID.

well, a piece of road debris knocked out one of my fog light bulbs, so I ordered a new m-tec set from e92 ('fest sponsor). they came within a week or so and I installed the new bulb this morning following this DIY like last time. very easy, ten minutes - worked fine and fixed the error code from the burned out bulb. thanks again.

I don't have a small hand but actually I found a way to do the driver side easier without lift up or remove the front left wheel. I turn the wheel leftward. Then remove all the screws (6 of them not 3) from the back panel. Then I open the plastic panel from the bottom (it's stuck to the front bumper). Then I get access to the foglight housing from there. So not necessary to remove the bumper.

I replaced my fog lights on my 05 645CI, but now I am getting a malfunction message on both fog lights. They came with resistors but when I installed them with the resistors they did not work so I left them off and they work great but with the malfunction message. How do I get rid of the message.?? The lights are LED's 9006, do I need to go with HID's instead??
