528e question

Hello everybody, i'm new to this site but i figured you all would be able to help me out. So i have a 1988 528e and i wanted to have the front grille that's normally chrome, black. I was wondering if i could buy one somewhere, or how i could paint it black. Any help is good. Thanks

Lots of guys with E46 bmw's paint them. Do a search for "painting grilles" or some such term and I'm sure you'll come up with some ideas.

If you can find a way to get it off of the car without destroying it, it can be painted. Primer is suggested first, though (if not, you'll end up having to repaint within three months).
