Gotta do a window regulator next....

Im so pissed! I was just getting ready to send off my cluster for pixel repair and I got the dreaded "crunching" window regulator sound from my passenger side rear window!!

Any words of wisdom from someone whose been there? I already looked at E38.Org & I plan on using that as a guide.

Also, where is the best place to buy one?

Just completed mine Sunday morning.

740i rear drivers side I did. Purchasing the regulator I highly recommend ebay seller is fcpgroton. On BB i read about the install. There is one write up that stated, he didn't have to remove the window on his 740i and he explained how he did it. I followed what he suggested and he was right on. I did not remove the window either. Had to be very careful not to scratch the window especially when getting a screw out but, take your time and read his directions. Entitled "Another Window Regulator Instructional" by cyberdactyl and posted on 2007-05-06.

I also had the dreaded crunching sound in my rear pass window. BMW charged $800 to fix, now time to go back for the front pass window. I think i'll take it my mechanic for that one though, the regulator is only $332.

Oh yes, I think most of us will experience this unfortunatley. I need all four (4) of my regulators replaced.

I was planning on getting them from OEMbimmerparts.com since their prices are very reasonable. I'll likely do the front ones first so I can at least go through drive thrus without opening the door. Probably will get at them after I get my stereo fixed. That will have to come first.
