October promotions?

Does anyone know if the October promotions have been announced today yet?

Did the residuals or money factors change from Sept?

Beginning of QTR

Not to dampen your expectations, I would not expect significant promotions in October for the F10. Here are my reasons:
  • October is the 1 Month of the Quarter for BMW. Typically the last month will have more promotions
  • This is a new model and there is big demand low supply
  • As is evident with the 6VC Combo Box addition there are still changes to equipment

I am told the best month(s) for promotions is November, December for the current model year.

But... the economy is still considered bad so....

Getting their buts kicked

AUDI, LEXUS and MERCEDES all have very attractive lease deals. BMW needs to step up as they are losing market share to these other manufacturers. Once the initial surge of people is gone they are cooked unless they do something.

Promos are to increase a dwindling market share and they add volume, but not true profits to auto makers. Obviously, BMW doesn't need promos at this time as they've got high demand and are getting full prices! Going cheaper early isn't a decent business strategy unless you want to buy business.
