Smile 03 Z4 Coolant Flush

My mechanic suggested I flush the coolant. Anyone know how often this should be done?

According to BMW, you don't.

It's explained in the Z4 FAQ's.

Yeah and the trans and diff fluids are life time fluids LOL theirs or mine

Only if you really need to.. I haven't own my long enough.. maybe if I get a chemical test kit to make sure that I need to do a change or not..

I guess if you are doing it, get the approved coolant BMW 82141467704, 17 at getbmwparts, saw some on ebay.. didn't carry the bmw logo.. might be fake..

BTW, who is your mechanic ? like a bmw specialist or a general do it all ?
