anti rattle clip help

I am at wits end I changed the rear pads on my 91 the warnning light was on. Ok easy off and eay on except for the anti ratle clip I CAN NOT get them on !!!! My bently says install is the reverse ( yea ok) they will NOT stay on they pop off PLEASE help !!! A picture would be great too thanks

no but I stoped a guy with an E34 and took a look to see what I was doing wrong Dang it if didnt have them wrong (of course) back on the road!

Outstanding! Things like that can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

Here's a tip that might help you sleepysal. Anytime I am doing maintenance that has to be done to both sides of the car (i.e. brake pads, shocks, etc.), I usually do only one side at a time so that I have the other side to refer to in case I run in to a snag like you did.

Thanks guys MW LVR that is a great tip !!! One that I have followed 99.9 % of the time , except this time !! I have also snaped a pic before I take apart things. But it was about 99 degrees and I was in a rush. So my 1/2 hour job got streched to a 4 hour mess. It took loner getting the wheels off then putting the clip on the right way .
Roberto thanks I swaped on some 17" style 5's for summer and will go back to these when the rains come.

I know what you mean lol. The jobs that should be the quickest always seem to take the longest.
