1995 525i Speaker replacement with aftermarket speakers

I want replace my stock speakers. I have an aftermarkert model cde 9845 Alpine headunit and the speakers are playing just fine. But I am going to upgrade to a Pioneer deh p7200 hd. After I install the head unit can I just replace the speakers by unplugging the old ones and plugging in the new ones. I've read in some forums the E34 speakers run through a separated factory amp then to the deck and if you try to just plug in the new speakers, they will only work at low volume if at all. I can't find the factory amp in the service manual under radio or electical diagrams. I read in one post that it is located under the carpet in the trunk left side.

Your amp may have been removed at some point. I could be wrong but I am not sure if all e34s came with an amp

I have a pdf file on the radio wiring diagram. It is too large to place on here. Google it and you should find it.
