Survey of time from completion to ship

Just curious to get a clear picture of when you car finished production to how soon it was on a boat. I would say I'm more curios to recent 5-series order with Sept production, but any experience you have would be appreciated.

For me:

Production week 35
Completed 09/08
Not yet assigned a ship


(Note: I had a similar post, but it was to specific as to how a car was equipment, so I apologize if anyone is rubbed the wrong way by the appearance similar treads)

Your car dealer should have the information regarding the ship name, VIN#, and expected vehicle arrival at the dealership.

For me, I think my car sat at the dock for a couple of weeks before the ship left port. One of my neighbors ordered his car a couple of weeks after I did (from same dealer) and his car was on the same ship as mine.

I have my VIN from the dealer. The vehicle inquiry report at the dealer indicates the same thing, "at port awaiting a shipping vessel."

Something does not seem right. My 535i was completed on 9/16, and is currently at sea. Scheduled to be at the VPC in NY/NJ on 10/6. I would check with your dealer.

My 535ix should be on the same ship, Fidelio, arriving in NY on 6 Oct.

My 535i was completed on 8/14, arrived at Bremerhaven 8/18 I believe, and had just missed a ship. It got on the next one on 8/25 and arrived in Baltimore, MD on 9/7. My dealer got it on 9/13 and I picked it up 9/16.
