Mein Auto: '87 535IS, '87 M3 (sold)
1987 535IS - 5MT, Upgrades, in Seattle (WA)

SOLD! SOLD!! SOLD !!!

Car Overview:
Up for sale is my 1987 BMW 535is, which I bought right here a couple years back. This e28 has a 5-speed manual transmission that is smooth and tight, with updated suspension and brakes. Car is reasonably clean, has a dent in the rear passenger side door, and a few other small dings here and there. It's COMPLETELY rust free, and solid as a rock. It's a lot of fun to drive – hugging the roads in the corners, accelerating strongly when asked to, braking quickly when needed. I'm going to miss this car, but moving to a newer 5-series.

1987 BMW 525is
183,000 miles
5 –speed manual 260 transmission – converted from automatic by PO less than 15K ago, and it feel s good and tight
Navy blue exterior, with navy blue interior
Leather sport drivers seat (manual sport seat converted to fit e28 with custom bracket), comfort passenger seats
Bilstein sport struts with Eiback springs on all 4-corners
New clutch and pedal box at 170K
Installed 2.93 limited slip differential (by PO)
Upgraded E34 540i brake rotors and calipers on the front
Running Mobil 1 full synthetic oil
Running Redline tranny fluid
Custom 2" stainless steel exhaust, with high-flow cat (3K miles ago)
Staggered 17" Style 32 wheels (including the spare) with hubcentric rings

Work done in the last 5-10K miles:
Re-charged AC – blows ice cold (R134a)
Flushed cooling system and replaced with BMW coolant
Replaced front wheel bearings
Replaced spark plugs, wires, rotor cap
Adjusted valves
Several full synthetic (Mobil1) oil changes
Replaced trunk gasket
Shimmed steering wheel to add tilt (it no longer feels like school bus steering wheel)
Replaced tail light gaskets
Replaced all brake pads with OEM pads, and replaced brake sensors if needed
Re-wired fog lights
Replaced bellows (old one was dry and cracking)
Replaced coolant temp sensor
Rebuilt master brake cylinder
Replaced air filter
Replaced brake fluid hoses and clutch slave fitting
Replaced oxygen sensor
Replaced idle control valve

Included:
One well used Bentley guide
E28 custom plate with current registration in the state of WA

Asking Price:
I'm a reasonable person not looking to get more than this car warrants. I'm asking $3,000. Too much? Make an offer.

Car is located in Seattle, WA. To see it, get more info, etc. please PM me, or call me at 206-seven-9-none-8064.

For those who expressed interest in the car, and have questions, here are the answers for all to see:

- Car has not been repainted, it was Royalblau, and still is. Paint is in good shape.
- Drivers seat was in very bad shape, including the frame. Front passenger seat was in bad shape as well. So both front seats were replaced - drivers seat is an E30 manual sport seat in royal blue, and passenger seat is a E28 power comfort seat. Both are fully functional.
- Transmission is smooth as can be. Absolutely no issues or concerns here.

Price lowered to $3000, or best offer.
