Dealer unable to install DVD tablet system

I have a 2012 X5 xdrive35i. It includes the Smoker Package but there is no cigarette lighter socket at the rear of the centre console. I asked the dealer to install the BMW DVD Tablet system but they have come back saying that they can't do it, even as a retro fit. Any advise on what I can do to have it installed without voiding the warranty on the car.

Did they explain WHY they cannot????

It seems the rules and laws in the UAE and other middleeastern/third world countries pretty much allow dealers to abuse and screw people- so unless you have them do it you will always deal with warranty threats. Can you get one that just plugs in to the center console?
