East Coast Fester's Meet. (Official Thread)
Okay, so far we have this list. As you post your interest level, I'll include you on the "attending" list, or leave you off.
Attendance List Once confirmed, name will be in italics, and underlined Lou (Moeman10) Frank (E36_Hater433) Matt (Fenderbender) Clark (TnT817) Ed (Jonesin) Adam? (Dammitammit) Jim (Jim Spence) Ryan (Ryan...) Franklyn (Eight_Thirty) Steven (E36Youngster) Joe (Poorboysracing) Tom (Tom_Nguyen) Eric (Eroc_328) Justin (The Otherside) I'm thinking we do this over Christmas break, as in, the week after Christmas, or later on in the spring. Another alternative is sometime before Christmas, but that all hinges on my health. (I have a tentative shoulder surgery the day before Thanksgiving.) Places that come to mind, that are fairly equal in distance from everyone, and should stay somewhat "warm", or are good driving areas around then are: Final Location: Shamokin, PA. MARCH 18th - 20th, 2011 HELP ME FIND A STATE PARK NEARBY, with campout sites. Friday: caravan, Friday night campout/cookout, Saturday: Drive to lot, do creative photoshoots, go get food/gas, then do our twisty drive here. Maybe eat again? pick up some burgers & Grillout? Idk yet, then caravan home saturday evening. This will be our drive..... http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/pa125.html ![]() Anyone else up for this? Jon S. said himself the other day that he was wondering why the fest doesn't do an east coast event.. Maybe this could turn out to be it ![]() Lets go guys ![]() This thread is for discussion, organization, and planning. Once the final plan is made, I'll update this original post, or create a new thread for the event. (I picked some of these locations with the southern people in mind) ^That means you Ken, Amber, Carlos, Adam, Steven, and anyone else

Washington would be the furthest I'd be willing to go. driving 16 hours one way isn't reasonable. It'd have to be less than a 24 hour drive round trip.

Don't forget us down here in the droopy dick of the country, it takes 4-5 hours just to get to georgia from where i am.. dc is reasonable though. Think we'd need to book at a park or something?

Hellz yes I'm up for something like this! I've personally been to Spartanburg, and there are some great roads down there. Once you guys figure our more or less where its gonna be, and a more exact date I'll be able to figure out whether or not I could make it

My vote is for march break or I can't get down there.
As for Jim, I absolutely love winter camping. One of the things I miss most about Calgary, was New Years camping in the mountains.

I am pretty sure there is a bmw assembly plant in Spartanburg, I would assume that it has a decent size parking lot that wouldn't be fully utilized on a weekend. Plus, a plant tour would be cool. I think they build the X3 and Z4 there, and maybe the X5.

Hokay.
I picked Spartanburg for that very reason ![]() Looks like it'll be the end of March (Weather and school reasons) Oh, and post yes or no if you'd be willing to attend. (This isn't a guarantee, just gauging how many people we could end up with)

I'm just saying that's kinda far away from all of us.
I'd rather drive less, and hang out with all you more. |

I agree.
The thing is.. it really depends on the southernly people.. If Amber comes back from the dead, Ken is up for it, Carlos can magically go, and more florida people are in, I'm not gonna make them drive ALL the way to DC.. know what I'm sayin? Ideally, for me, the best possible case for us northeast people would be somewhere in PA? amirite?
