Check battery voltage. If it's low, recharge and try starting again.

You have to check if everything is connected back. Check the centric sensor also.

Yes I would check the eccentric sensor for damage. Mine broke, while I had the valve covers and gaskets replaced on my 05 545i, and was over $400 to replace, they are delicate and easily brake when being removed. Goodluck.

How do you check the centric sensors for damage ? I mean where the socket and plug goes they both look ok , tight , no moving . The rest its under the cover witch i hope i will never have to remove again lol . When your broke , where did it break ? top side by the plug ?

If the centric sensor is bad , will it really stop the starter from turning ? i can hear the click solenoid but it will not crank . Thank you

Have you checked the starter? Try beating it with a stick to see if can help crank the engine.

Good luck!

+1 OP: He's serious. Banging the starter with a stick sometimes loosens it if its worn/jamming. Doesn't fix it permanently, but let's you schedule something besides a tow to get it fixed.

no luck , i hit the starter too and nothing , it has to be a huge coincidence for the starter to go bad right when i did this work on it . It has to be some damn sensor , module , electrical thing . My friend just disconected the eccentric sensor on his 545i and it will still crank . I am lost , i will paypal 50$ for some1 who gives me the The tip to fixt it , not kidding . Is there a sensor or something that will stop the starter from cranking ? My friend said he will disconect tomorrow all the sensors that he know too see if any of them will stop the starter . Is it posible that the active steering error to do this ? the active steering module on the Dis Ops Gt1 it's not responding ...

PM the user bmwoem1 with that offer and I bet he can give you the answer.

I remember reading one time about an ISB sensor issue that can cause a no start condition. No idea whatsoever if that is related to this, but do some searching on that. It can be bypassed.

I am assuming it doesn't even turn over at all? Just a whole lot of nothing?

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/att...8&d=1279338407 is the SIB on it

The problem is you forgot to connect the power wire after putting the ac filter back on... Top left (driver side). It probably just needs to be connected and you should be good to go!

Mine still started and ran, but it ran like crap, had misfires and felt like it was going to stall. bought a new one at the stealer for around 4 bills.

Sorry .. the ac filters ( u mean the cabin filters right ? ) witch power wire r u talking about ? i haven't put back the cabin filters yet , the only wires i have at the cabin filters are on the passenger side and they are hooked up to the filter , just the filters are not installed , i dont remeber seeing any wires on the driver side , and right now there are no unhooked plugs anywhere as far as i can see . Im almost sure i forgot to plug something but i have looked everywhere and still cant find anything .

Do a jump start procedure from the hood with another car. Check and see if your current battery has the necessary cranking amperage.
