trouble with cruise control
Hello, I have a 94 BMW 530i and im having trouble getting the cruise control to work. About 2 weeks ago (?) I started the car and heard a distinct humming sound coming from the 2 vents in the middle of the car right above the radio and heard it more precisely on the left side of the passenger area where they would put there feet. All fuses tested good and thats about all ive done with it. I did search but no one seemed to have my problem or the questions just went unanswered. I havent pursued this much as it looks to be a pain in the ass trying to work with the cruise control and i dont feel like spending 3-700 $ on this problem lol. Any help or place to start would be appreciated. BTW cruise control worked fine before this and nothing weird popped up, just suddenly and without warning went out on me.

Please keep us updated about this especially the humming sound. I heard it for about 5 minutes, approximately 2 weeks ago. The first time it happened and have no clue why.

cruise not working
Anyone know where the cruise control module on a 95 540i would be? my cruise control does not engage no lights on the dash come on. I have checked the fuse. would this be a sign of a bad cruise control module?

the module if im not mistaken, if you look on the left side firewall theres a box by the coolant tank. Thats the cruise control modeule, Also you can go to realoem.com and get a diagram of where it is.
