328 xi brakes?

How many miles should I expect to get with normal driving on my original brakes? Thanks!

"normal" driving is a pretty wide range. It's normal for me to brake from 50-80mph down to zero 4-5 times 2x per day on my commute. Others, it's might be 8-10 stops from 25-40mph. Big difference in brake use there.

Manual or automatic transmission? The lighter weight and increased compression braking of a manual transmission will extend brake life a little.

Anywhere from 20,000 to 120,000 miles, depending on your driving style and location.

I'm not joking. May people report one to two brake jobs in the free maintenance period. I went 100,000 miles on the rear brakes and 115,000 on the front brakes in my 335. It all depends on how you drive and more importantly where. My driving is 90% highway, so there's not a lot of wear there. If you live in the city, the pendulum swings the other way.

My rears were replaced at 47923. I just passed 100K miles with the original fronts; which probably should be replaced - got a lot of judder due to warped rotors or whatever.

I just replaced my rears at ~56k miles. I'm not sure if the fronts have been replaced or not. I'm suspecting the pads have been changed (computer is saying another 40k miles before they need replacement).

Are you driving in stop and go traffic? If so, figure on 20 to 50k.

I drive very little in traffic and my MT E91 brakes were just replaced at 65k.

But like they say - YMMV!

Tom

Thank you all for your input! I drive mainly stop and go during the week and some extended trips on weekends! Gonna check my computer and see what it says! Thanks again!
