E90 335i headlight shake problem

My 2007 E90 335i with sport package has headlight shake. The light on the road from the xenons bounces up and down like a cheap car. On the other hand, our 2008 535Xit with xenons does not have ANY headlight shake at all. What's the deal and can my E90 be fixed?

Mine shakes when driving also. I've heard this before. Not sure if it's a manufacturing issue or just standard. Both shake...i notice it when i drive and the light is moving on the car in front of me.

time to go see the dealer. hopefully you are still under warranty. the headlights do have a slight give; but should never "shake" the beams should look still and steady when you are driving. dealer or a reputable BMW indy shop should be able to fix your problem. good luck

I remember seeing an SIB for the headlight bracket for this issue but don't remember what models/manufacture date were affected.

Good luck. I'd really appreciate it if you do report back. Mine shake more than Michael J. Fox and it really bothers me. The dealer claims it's normal and there is no SIB for '09s. I'm considering buying the brackets mentioned in the SIB and installing them myself. I'm not sure that will entirely fix the problem since my headlight cutoff sometimes vibrates even when the car is stationary.

Mine too. I have a January '08 build with xenons that shake like crazy on our ROUGH Atlanta roads. I will be interested to see how it turns out for you at the dealership. I plan to address it with my SA as well.

Well, I had the SIB performed and it did literally nothing (except fog my lights, but that's another story). I've read about others having simlar results.

Same problem here. I've had two other BMWs with adaptive xenons and neither had this problem. I took my car in - even printed the service bulletin - and the dealer said that they couldn't replicate the problem and that my car was not affected according to the service bulletin.
They still shake - especially over expansion joints, but I guess I'm getting used to it. I'm going to ask them to check again the next time I bring it in.

My car was past the dates as well, and only the driver's side light was affected. The dealer did adjust something and the shaking as eliminated though.

Mine does the same thing, from day 1. Had the dealer check them when I had my 15k service. Try to guess what the answer was.
