Meh. I'd wait for one with the additional braces between the front and rear mounting points. That's not a bad price, but they sell for less much of the time.

They were made both ways. I don't know if the additional braces make much difference, but if you're going to use one, might as well have the one with the extra pieces if you can get it for the same price.

You put the email reply link in your posting, not the link to the CL posting.

And the answer is yes. (both, not one or the other).

That e36 seems a little too cheap. My vote is for the e28.

Agreed. The E36 is either a scam or there's something seriously wrong with it that they aren't telling you. E28

That's the convertible version. Definitely get the Motorsport version instead - it's stiffer. Plus, the Motorsport version makes oil changes easier, since you don't have that big square section of steel right in the path of the oil.

Also, I just found someone near me selling the Motorsport version for $120obo. You could probably get him down to $100 or so. If he doesn't want to ship it, I'd be happy to pick it up and ship it to you.

If they don't paint it right Joe, have them redo it. You don't have to accept sub-standard work. Especially not insurance work.

Yeah, for sure. If you don't like how it looks, they have to redo it on their dime. I had that happen once with a previous car. Gave it right back to them and told them to start over...

It must have been under an extended warranty. Some of the CarFax entries are for a wash/wax at the dealer..and I don't think anyone is that stupid to pay the dealer to do this! I have to say...it does not reaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllly nice.

Ugh I want a M3 again....

There was a beautiful e36 M Vert getting serviced at the dealer, made me lust after it.

Also they had a brand new E92 M3 in the show room, and the Latest M5...which cost $107,000 yowzers.

If it needs a top and/or rear subframe mounting point work that'a about the right price. You'd be looking at about $4K to have someone put an E46 top on for you. Obviously cheaper if you do it yourself. Oh, and remember you can autocross a vert but few if any clubs will let you on the track without a full cage........
If everything is good, that's a bargain.
