I am using a 3.1 miles to 5km rate a s a conversion, but I get 25.8 mpg average according to my on board computer. My drive is 37km to work and it half on the highway and half in the city. So that means I get roughly 15L per 100km? Is that the measure you use in Europe? I thought it was L per 100km. If not then I get 11km per L.
My head hurts now from the math...

And that many visual mods make me think it's been beaten to death. And why do folks make such a big deal about fluid changes??? To me, that's like putting air in your tires...shouldn't get extra money for that!

EDIT: Joe, thanks for the post about your buddies WRX. Can you resend?

not sure of the math, but the 318's get better fuel economy than the 6's, and still handle well. they're just not fast.

just ask joe....

i feel the same way about 'just put a new (motor/trans/major component) in this car, have to sell because i need the money.

then why did you just pay for (previously mentioned expensive part) to be replaced??

if i spent a lot of $ to repair a vehicle the *last* thing i would do is sell it. i'd drive it to get my monies worth out of the investment.....

now, if i purchased a car to flip... (then i wouldn't mention replacing *anything*...)

Folks who live in the south/under the rust belt: I need your help!

I'm looking for a crew cab, long box dually Chevy, between 91-01. Motor and trans don't need to be there, this is going to be my swap truck. I want no rust, preferably a manual, and it has to be 4x4 (or in this case, 6x6). I can't find any here in wi. If you guys see anything, let me know, I would really appreciate it

(Ken, Carlos, Joey, Chad, Alan)

Where can you find a rust free early '90s Chevy truck ANYWHERE!

Seriously, the lower back corners of the cab were a terrible moisture pocket and it's really hard to find one that isn't rusted there. Cars here are usually pretty rust free (unless they're a beach car) and most older Chevy trucks I see have the cab corners rusted out.

What do you guys think about this?

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/da...404677792.html

Thinking about taking a look but I don't know. This guy doesn't seem to knowledgeable about the car, I mean "V6"? and terms of "very little rust"?
Only thing that appeals to me is the 5 speed, the mileage and the price. Doesn't seem like this guy does any maintenance to it either.
