Speaking of Techno....Did you see the Wheeler dealers episode where Mike passed on an absolutely gorgeous Techno Violet vert because it was Techno Violet? It was super-cheap, and Mike said that's why it was cheap, because of the color! He said it wouldn't sell. If it were here, people would have been fighting over it.

I did I was like

Funny how things differ, but I guess there is probably a bigger audience with a non offensive colored car. Why you see so many silver and black bimmers lol

He paid $2,700 looks minty, lady's son is a mechanic at a BMW dealer. Came with a **** ton of receipts from service, had new timing belt and whatnot done. Hope it's good to him this winter.

Wonder if he really has racks, or just scamming...
That reminds me, still got that key?

I apparently never told my wife I was buying those... She looked a little pissed.
She also looked upset when the x-brace arrived at the house...

I'm in the same boat... I'm not looking forward to the day when I eventually buy an exhaust system. I can hear the conversation now...

Significant other: "Why does your car sound different? Is it louder or something?"
Me: "Um, so, I bought a new exhaust for the BMW."
Significant other: "Oh, was the old exhaust broken? This one seems louder."
Me: "No, the old exhaust wasn't broken, and yes, the new exhaust is a little louder."
Significant other: "Why?"
Me: "It's less restrictive, and helps with fuel economy?"
Significant other: "So, how much did you pay for this new, louder exhaust which replaces the perfectly good old exhaust?"
Me: Gulp...

I usually pull the whole "it's my hobby" bit, which seems to work fairly well. My GF also has an expensive hobby (horseback riding), and she spends way more on that than I do on cars, so I've got a little bit of leverage.

Im so happy my girl actually likes me pouring money into my car, she understands it makes me happy, and even though I do own a money pit, she likes that my hobby is tearing apart cars instead of drugs, or other women

this is pretty much how it went. Cept, "oh I thought I told you" may have been said.

Whatever, she doesn't really care, we each have play money we are allotted each month. As long as it comes from there, no problems.
And no massaging the truth here. She will ask her dad. He works for BMW in Germany.
But he fully supports my hobby and is typically excited in it. So no worries there.
