It was THIS one. It's an E34 touring with an LS1 swap. Owner was asking $8500 for it until the posting expired. HERE is the build thread, and HERE is is "for sale" post on Bimmerforums.

Yeah, I don't think I'd ever want to buy a stance car, because it has undoubtedly been bottomed out countless times, but those older 7-series are seriously bad ass.

Trouble is, even the unmodded ones are a maintenance nightmare. I can buy late 90s ones here for half what an e36 goes for (like >$1000 vs. $2000+ for an e36),........ and they are land barges.

i sent the guy with the civic m3 conversion an offer for $25, he replied with some BS story about his brother in afganistan blah blah the car's in bangor blah blah i can send it for free blah blah, i said id be more than happy to drive up to maine and pick it up for $25 to make sure it got demolished infront of me.....and then he didnt reply.

Yep. They look cool, but holy hell they would be impossible to maintain.
