Do any of you guys know of a Craigslist data collector (for lack of a better term) that works well? I used to love using Craiggers, but they were shut down a while ago. Would be nice to be able to search CLs across the US again.

Yeah, SearchTempest is okay. Still isn't anywhere near as nice as Craiggers was. ST pulls up a gazillion expired postings.

That is just awesome! If I had 15k, I would buy that in a heart beat.

I'm sure it's a fun car, but for that kind of money, I definitely would not want the LQ4 truck engine in there. They only made 300hp, and have an iron block. An LS1, LS2, LS3, LS-anything would be better than the LQ4.

^wait, wut?? thought the ad listed an lsx mmotor, but also an lq4, so....the difference (other than the block not being aluminum)??

not real familiar with the various incarnations of the sbc. as i understand it, the lsx were in corvettes and f bodies and were all aluminum, so if that were the case, why would the poster list lsx *and* lq4??

would love to do this to the ti, though the weight of a cast iron block would be more than what i would be looking for. the aluminum motors would be much better suited for weight. however, budget being what it is and such, it looks as if that will not happen. it'll most likely get the m53 with an m50 mani (have one to spare, and the m52 mani was cracked in the wreck...)

was thinking of moding the gm supercharger (m62) to use in this with an intercooler, but i think that is just simply waaaaay too much work for the space limitations. unless i make an entire manifold to fit. might do that, but the budget to do so vs the possible benefit of useable hp (read return on investment of time and $) it might be simpler to save up and get schricks and a tune....

anyway....just rambling on. would still like to play with the supercharger, but got sidetracked. need to get some materials and play with the welder some more before i can make a better cost/benefit analysis....

guys, i need an garage. plain and simple. so i can wrench away at night....

Bet you didn't realize the SearchTempest founder was a Z4-owner and member here!

Just wanted to point out that our FAQ has some info about why you might get expired postings, and a couple ways you can avoid them: www.searchtempest.com/faq.php#deleted

I use autotempest.com to search multiple car sites along with Craigslist.org

As far as that poor 328i with Lambo doors, someone should go there and beat the hell out of that guy for making that monstrosity. If he wears a sideways hat, beat him with a club out in the middle of the street.

Huh, looks like mine, minus the super charger. Same color exterior and interior. But damn are these cars hard to sell, especially in this economy and sky-high gas prices. I don't know why.

I am picking it up next week (pay day is Friday next week). I need to figure out the space in my driveway since I am full. I will get pictures soon, don't worry. If not, I will be at Bimmerfest.

I need a bigger driveway. And I can't park on my front yard, since HOA will fine me. Ugh...
