Don't bother emailing this guy with KBB values, because his car is no longer priced by KBB...?

Pretty bold, this guy... and he has a rare 97 M3 with S52!

I'm thinking maybe we should all email this guy with KBB values and remind him about what is wrong with his car... just to be Mr. Bean-ish... LOL

Hrmm... it's no 540i... but at least an engine I know how to work on for the most part...
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...778449847.html

Is that a good price for a well taken care of E39? I am not familiar how much these cars are supposed to be worth or what determines their value aside from service records and proper upkeep.

Harry, I haven't heard from 540 guy in Lexington. I will re-email today at some point, just because it makes me mad when they don't respond at all.

I send an email on a car I am interested in. Then when I hear nothing for a couple days, I get , then , then , then

^Yes I do have OBD-II. My comment was mostly about the fact that he had a cup of coffee that was actually fitting in the cupholder. Also my center console is arranged ashtray, coin holder, cupholder, cupholder. However,I just realized whole thing is modular, so I just went out and rearrange it so now it is cupholder, coin holder, ashtray, cupholder. Now, if I can only find a drink that fits in there, my car will be a much nicer daily driver(as soon as I get it on the road again)

Re: Craigslist Finds Thread

That's how I configured mine as well.

FWIW, the E36 actually has some of the best cupholders I've ever owned. I think that's more a statement of how awfully the other cars cupholders sucked than a praise for the E36, but count your blessings.

I'd support that purchase. Although it does seem like your e36 is already sort of a weekend queen? Maybe you're better off putting money into the bimmer?

The E36 is my responsibility to fund, but the project car (whatever it ends up being) is a joint collaboration between me and the other half. So from a financial standpoint, the purchase of a project car doesn't affect my ability to continue tending to the E36.

I've always loved Zs, would definitely be fun. Actually was just looking at one last week thinking I could use it to get to the station.

We'll see. I sent the owner of the 240Z a text, but haven't heard back...

That Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 is still for sale, now down to $6500, but I'm a little afraid of that car. It has a full service history, zero accidents, 2 owners, and only 75k miles, but I'm worried about fixing stuff on it if/when it breaks. They have a hydraulic leveling suspension and pesky mechanical fuel injection which sounds kinda risky.

No, it's still around. Don't know why it hasn't sold - it's been on the market for an eternity. Owner claims it runs great, but as we all know, that is relative. Also has peeling clear coat on the hood which wasn't visible in the previous ads, but is now disclosed.
