Do you remember what he was saying about it? He said it went in place of a resistor and would make him 35 hp because it tricked the ECU into thinking that the air was colder or something like that.

Looks to be all cosmetic from what I can see, but how the hell do you change the quarter panel? everything from like the doors back is all one piece

Cut it out, weld it in and paint the spots. I paid just under 2k more for mine in good shape though and I think you would have a tough time fixing that for 2k.

I don't know, the tire doesn't look right to me, too far forward. (???) Could be as simple as a broken control arm, but the whole tower and frame could be ruined too...

I'm thinking that's a parts car, unless someone knows a body shop that is willing to do a bunch of free work.

I may or may not have posted a reply too his ad on the Binghamton craigslist. Again, I am sorry, but really, how would you feel if you saw some poor bastard come on here in a few days all excited about his "mint" M3, I know I would feel awful knowing I could have done something to warn him.
