Closed the deal on the Beyern wheels. I'm picking them up late this week or early next week.

They are these in silver (top picture):

http://www.beyernwheels.com/BMW_wheels_beyern_type5.php

Two 18 x 9.5 and four 18 x 8.5. Daddy took the car away from sonny for racing it (), and put the OEM wheels back on before trading it in. The tires are toast, but the wheels are OK. A couple of dings on two of the 8.5s (that's why there are extras).

I almost bought a 17x8 set of those new..
They sell for $200ish apiece new..
Great find dude.

You're getting $1000 worth of wheels for less than half of the price.

The 18s are a little more than that, ~$225 is the cheapest I've found them (and they didn't have 4 of them...it was a close-out). Most places they were $250 for the 8.5s and $275 for the 9.5s.

This is the fourth deal I've gotten on wheels on CL: 4 style 32s (15 x 7) with Michelins for free, 4 Borbet CBs ( 16 x 7) with new Dunlop tires for $75, 4 Hamann HM3s (17 x 8) for $200, and now these Beyerns. I really am addicted to CL.

You kiss your mama with that mouth?

They're going on the 6er. The 16" Borbets are just too small for those gigantic wheelwells.

That's a scary mod. They ruined the structural integrity of the chassis by cutting the roof. 'Verts are reinforced underneath to compensate. I wonder if that one has had a similar modification? I'd like to see what kind of drop-in roof panel they made for it (and how bad it leaks).
