Hi my names jo,
i live in jersey in the channel islands

i have two BMW's an E46 and a E53.

joined to see if anyone had any ideas on my E53's heating problem

Could you be anymore vague? Do you care to elaborate a little for our sake. Is the temp guage not moving as well, when you look at the OBC (google how to unlock it), what temps are you running? Is one radiator hose hot while the other is cold? Have you checked the coolant level and/or make sure the system is completely bled? Google how to bled X5 cooling system, use only distilled water and BMW or Xerex G05 coolant if that's your issue. If low coolant is your issue, then I'd suggest that you've clearly got a leak, so if it's not visual in the engine bay, that means it's the valley pan gasket, which requires compete removal of the intake manifold.

well actaully when i said heating problems i meant intrior heating problems

as this was a greeting thread i put a cut down version of my problem as i had already created a thread explaining the fault in detail.

Interior heating problems are related to engine heating as well since that's where you get your heat from. So have you fixed the issue then?

yeah nothing to do with the engine heating at all was the FSR all the time

took an hour while other half was at work, its his car but i always end up sorting the damn thing out!
