Exclamation Getting a yellow triangle

Hope someone can help me out. I am getting a yellow triangle with what looks to be a white snowflake in center. This only comes up once and a while shortly ofter I start the car then goes away after a second or two. Has anyone experienced this before and can you tell me what this means?

I tried to search threads for this but can not find any that covers this problem.
Thanks in advance.

That message comes on when the outside temp is less than 32 degrees to warn you of the cold weather. Kind of an odd feature with the 7.

I've been getting it too. It's a very odd feature indeed. It even shows in the Car Data under Service section, wtf would they have it pop in there for.

Thanks 7, for letting me know it's below zero. I will now put a jacket over my tank-top.

37 degrees

I actually think it is 37 degrees not 32 degrees for a margin of error.

I believe this is correct.....it's 37 degrees. Also, I think the purpose is to alert you to possible frozen conditions or patches of ice, etc.....that type of thing.

Actually...and sarcasm aside.....I believe the theory is that when the air temperature is 37 degrees, then it is cool enough that in certain areas (shady areas, overpasses, bridges...ect.) frozen conditions might be found.

MJ....in your particular case....37 degrees actually is 32 degrees in German.

The snowflake triangle message startles me almost every time because it looks (and makes a sound) just like any other error would. When I hear that sound I think "oh great, what is going wrong now..." It would be better if it just silently warned on the nav screen in the corner or something...

I will make sure not to tell the wife this, but she has her own warning system since she already did winter shopping.

Thanks to all, at least now I know what it is telling me and nothing going wrong with the car.

Yes, and this was the first alert message that I have got on the car. I'm just glad that it was something like this and not serious. But at least now I know to expect it all winter.
