One week old, needs alignment?

My 2011 X5D is a lot of fun to drive, but I am sensitive to steering wheel centering and this one has to be held just a bit off center, and it's rather the fly in the ointment.

I've talked to an SA and have an appointment for a couple of weeks out (at my request). But am wondering if this is really an alignment issue or something else. If l let go of the wheel it tracks more or less true, except for the steering thing. I know how a 'true' steering should feel on these roads as they are very familiar to me and I have driven several cars here.

If just a steering centering thing is this fairly simple and straightforward (no pun intended) thing to get done?
