Loose handbrake?

I got loosy handbrake, when i pul it it has some gap before it actualy grabs a disc on the wheels, how can i loose this gap?

remove the boot on the handle and adjust the nuts.

the handbrake Handle between the seats....pop the leather cover off and you will find the end of the cables with adjusters on them

Note that these nuts were completely removed to replace the individual cables, something you wouldn't need to do to just adjust them.

The small nut is to jam against the larger tension adjusting nut.

Loosen the (smaller) jam nuts a turn or so each, then tighten up the larger nuts to take any slack out of the cable. They're a little hard to get at with the lever all the way down, so with some trial and error, you can tighten them with the lever pulled up slightly.

When finished, you want to be sure that you're not pulling on the cables at all, while the lever is all the way down. Tighten the jam nuts against the larger nuts to maintain your adjustment setting.

One of the things you need to be certain of, is that the outer jackets of the cables aren't damaged, and letting in water. If water gets in, the inner cable can rust and sieze to the outer housing. Once that happens, you need to replace the cable(s).
