strange squeak

My 2003 Z4 has started emitting a high pitched squeak (not real loud) when driving (not sitting still) at rev's of around 2000 rpm. Seems to be on the left side. My mechanic took of the left rear wheel and checked other things, but couldn't figure it out. Any similar experiences?
