Headrest DVD and Brush Aluminum Trim

I finnaly got my 2010 Black on Black X5 3.0. Sport Activity Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, Premium Sound Pkg, Real Climate Pkg, Technology Pkg, 3rd Row seat, 18K miles for 53K. I think I got a ok deal. I had a really hard time to find black on black with 3rd row seat.

I would like to get Headrest DVD, where is the best place to get them?

Also I would like to change my interiour trim for Brush Aluminum Trim, did anyone ever change theres? Where is the best deal to buy it. The dealer wants to charge me $1600 + $1500 for installation.

Thansk for your help.

Go find yourself a very good Car Audio place. Monitors are very cheap these days.

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu..._PKG-M780.aspx $600 bucks and then pay to get it install shouldn't be that expensive. I'll say another $300-$400 for the installation. $1000 total.

Do your research. These have active headrests. If you replace them with cheap ones, you will be compromising safety.

Yep, you can't just install monitors in the headrests as they are active - you need to mount the monitor to the seat not the headrest as the BMW aftermarket units do.

Invision makes the aftermarket ones and you can pick those up on ebay or from a lot of places online.

I changed my trim to brushed aluminum on my 2003 330ci...well, had my dealer do it...it was about $1000....worth it cause I hated the trim that was standard! Have your dealer do it if they have experience doing it.
