Wierd noise from steering
Yes. I already search.
I have this weird noise coming from my car lately. The steering has to be at a certain position and the car must be in D and stopped. If its moving or in any other gear there is no noise. Kind of sounds like a knocking noise, and I dont know what it is. Its definately under/lower portion of the car somewhere.. Any ideas? Edit: also i had the car on the lift and there is no noise when the wheels are up. The car has to be on ground for the noise to occur.. Thanks

ouch...that sounds nasty.
my best guess is that its coming from the hydraulic steering.
