[E39] brake fluid renewal "Clock symbol" reset

E39 520i 1996year
Hi,
Is it possible to reset brake fluid renewal "Clock symbol", skiping oil service reset?
Maybe it can be done with INPA interface?

I don't think that's a feature on the US model E39. Oil and Inspection reminders only. Coolant and brake fluid schedule is maintained on your own without a service indicator.

Would be nice to have though.

There was something about the brake-fluid interval (2 years?) that I seem to remember in one of QSilver7's posts in one of these threads:
- How to reset the oil service interval light (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)

If the OP is interested enough, he can look there and let us know what he finds out.

reseting oilservice or inspection service it's very easy and simple. But noone post talks about brake fluid renewal symbol orange clock swithing off. I thing will wait till engine oil change and then reset all inspection services.

OK. I just checked the links I had posted (did you?).

What was wrong with what was said under "brake fluid renewal timing display"?

As others stated...the reason it's not mentioned on this forum as regular topic is that most members here are from North America...and BMW does not have the Brake Renewal indicator activated here. We are only told (in our owners manual) to change the brake fluid every two years because it is hygroscopic:

But as Bluebee was indicating (and linked to in her reply in post #4 above...click the link indicated as "(1)" )...there is info posted regularly (and archived) that mentions the Brake Fluid Renewal Timing Display...but alas...it is in the instructions for the 9/2000-up BMWs that have the ability to reset the SI lights using their instrument cluster. Not sure how it is done on a 1996 e39 which uses the 20-pin round DLC connector in the engine bay:
