serpentine belt dilema (Drive Belts)

Could any one help me with an accurate drive belt diagram (serpentine belts) for a 1995 525I Sedan. I have searched numerous websites, bought a Haynes book which was no help and no one seems to carry a Chiltons for my year and make. I took it off and unfortunately got called away to go get my son and now I am unable to remember how they are both routed. If anyone knows where I could find a picture of how they are routed I would be greatly apreciative.

I did the same thing

Luckily I had my E36 to look at. Here is a picture of my E34 shows most of it.

The only thing missing is a shot of the alternator pulley and power steering pump pulley. The belt goes on the outside of the alternator pulley, straight down to the outside of the power steering pump pulley and comes to the bottom of the crankshaft pulley that you can see in the picture.

The A/C belt is fully shown.

Hope this helps,
Steve

Thank you, I believe that is what I am needing. Looks just like it. I will give it a shot in the morning. Thanks again. Real pictures are very helpful.

Thanks again, I couldn't wait till the morning to go and fiddle with it. It is going to be my sons car and he is super excited. Your picture was just enough for me to make it work. Thank you so much and hope I can repay favor sometime. Can't believe I made such a rookie mistake and then when there wasn't a diagram under the hood like usual that sucked. I must have spent hours trying to find a picture or diagram that even remotely resembled my engine but had no luck until I got this website from a fellow BMW lover. Well thanks again,

Brian

Glad I could help Brian. When I did work on my E36 (same engine as my E34), I was smart enough to draw a diagram. I didn't think about it when I did my coolant system overhaul on my E34. I think that I thouhgt I could just figure it out since I had done the work on the E36 and felt like the biggest dummy because I couldn't just figure it out without referencing the other car.

Steve (BMR_LVR) ,
Thanks again for your help and I was wondering if you could clue me in on the coolant system. I drained the radiator and replaced the thermostat and housing but I can't figure out how to fill the system. I fill the reservoir but it doesn't take much so I know I am doing something wrong. I read something about a bleeder valve and blowing into something but am confused. Its sure isn't like any thing I have ever heard of. Normally I just take off cap fill and run engine and fill again. Sorry to bother you again but you were so helpful on my belt issue I thought maybe you could shed some light on this issue as well. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks,

Brian (bbrownfd)
