How do I replace the cup holder?

Somehow the owner before me dislodged one of the cup holder teeth and it's been vexing me ever since I bought the car.

What part do I have to order and what's the procedure to replace it? (No CPO warranty)

Chris

Pull it straight up - I've had to remove mine multiple times to clean it properly.

Grab the front edge of the cupholder, push back and grab up at the same time. It's a tight fit but can be removed by a strong two-hand grasp.

Pinch the left side with your hand inside and your thumb on the outside.Use leverage toward the right. The part missing should be be under the cuphoder and you may be able
to re-attach behind the flat spring that secure the tabs.

Great timing on this post. I just noticed this weekend that I need to adjust one of the fingers on the center cup holder.

Thanks for the cup holder removal information.

Fixed cupholder!

Thanks so much for your help evil geniuses!

Pulled it out and as suggested, the tooth was jammed in there. I restored it to the proper position, but the action on the spring and the new at rest position were not up to snuff. Spent 24 hours considering possible fixes and decided on an entirely low tech solution (rubber band). Works like new again.

I took a few other pics underneath the armrest. I noticed all the sound dampening materials, no wonder this thing drives so damn smooth and quiet.

Wow, that dampening foam is NOT there on my 2004. It's completely hollow underneath my cupholder/armrest with the exception of the CD changer bracket and other hardware.
