The Official "Hey look my car is covered in snow" Thread

all season tires are ment to be run year round they are rated for snow, rain, any condition. i plan to run summer sport tires on my show rims. and the all seasons on stock rims.

If you don't get much snow I suppose you'd be fine.....but if you're going to have 2 sets there's no reason not to get snows. All-seasons are a compromise. What that means is they do a mediocre job of everything, but really don't excel in anything.

hum i run all season tires on my Jeep and VW rabbit. an they seem to do great in ice, snow,rain, gravel,ect. it all depends on the manufacture of the tire and tried design. if your running some off brand tire then yeah its going to be below or near par.

Just my $0.02 but i have never seen a set of all seasons that better the crapiest snow tires I've every owned in a real winter.

I feel sorry for you guys. I can't imagine having to have two sets of wheels and tires. I'm maxed out on space in my garage as it is! Plus I have 3 cars. That's 12 wheels and tires hanging around. You all have my sympathy!

Eh. You don't really notice it. You find corners of your garage/basement/shed that you never knew existed.

Mine are in the corner, but I keep meaning to move them under the stairs in the garage.

i like winter tbh its not that bad people just like to bitch alot.

and between me and my roommate we have 15 wheels for 2 cars... /sigh

its good to have two sets of wheels or even three because you always have a spare just in case.

I have the Basketweaves sitting in my garage right now because I didn't want to run chains on the MPars or be on Pilot Sports in the snow. Between them and the engine I have so little space in the garage its not even funny.

They're going on craigslist as soon as I get back from this snow trip.

Idk what tires the E30 has, but it's pretty much the worst thing to drive in the snow ever lol. Although I still made it through everything without being stuck yet this year. It's a blast to drive in the snow, but it barely moves.

I take responsibility for that. I was just fascinated by the snow tire phenomena. And you all have my respect. It was hard to cope here today too. It was 64 degrees had to wear a long sleeve shirt.

Driving along home tonight in the African Dictator Car, seeing the look on people's faces as I pass them completely sideways... Always makes for the happy end to a night.

Since the ///318 is down right now (radiator), drove the misses seX5 today. Love this thing. Hope all this snow melts today (high 51) so can do the radiator tomorrow.

I'm waiting for this thread to go crazy with all sorts of photos. Can't wait. I really wish I was back east for this storm. I love me some crazy snow storms...

Yea...this is all we are going to get I believe, up north is a different story. HIgh of 48 tomorrow, 50 sunday and 64 monday. I would pray for the storm to hit here if I didn't need to do the rad this weekend.
