God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

325e cuts out between 1200 rpm and 3500 rpms above that runs fine.
i have replaced everything on this, wanted a good dependable driver.the problem is if you slowly move the throttle from the idle position the engine cuts out like its not getting enough fuel.it acts this way until it gets to the upper rpms and it's clears up. i can use a jumper on the ecu connector for the tps and force the ecu to think that the wot is made
it will rev up fine. like i said i have replaced everything. any help.

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Does your check engine light come on?

hot and cold, not a vac leak have replaced intake gasket, valve cover gasket, bypass tube gasket, the engine holds 19 inches of vac at idle steady.have replaced all rubber hoses, intake bellow, replaced the tps, afm, fpr, speed and reference sensor, fueltank, fuel pump and filter, cap rotor plugs wires, icm, icv, timing belt, water pump, injectors, fuel lines.so like i stated i have replaced everytime.now a bit of history about the car.we i recevied the car motor was locked up and had been sitting for 8 years, someone had taken the afm and icv. the car idle good but when you slowly apply the throttle it cut out misses and only picks up on top end. when i jumper the tps connector to make the ecm think it's at wot it run pretty good. also the engine seem to be running leanby looking at the plugs. this is a good problems that i can't figure out.

Why don't you take it to a shop that can perform a smoke test to officially rule out a vacuum leak? It honestly sounds like a leak.

Check your o2 sensor. If your CEL is on, do a stomp test. I do agree that it sounds like a vacuum leak though. Backwards icv? lol

if a vac leak why would the engine hold good vac on the gauge.and why would the problem not persist when the tps is jumpered out. i have replaced the 02 sensor. on the 1985 e i dont think you can do the stomp test.thanks again keep the ideals comming. i work at night so my replys will be in the evenings.
