The only thing I can make fun of her car is that she has a cloth convertible...not a hard top.

She definitely gave me the thumbs down on my 330 and said I wussed out and should have gotten a 650.

So I need some good come back lines...we are getting together on Wed and then New Years.

1 question I ask myself is why on earth are there soooooo many Audi owners on the Bimmer boards?Never would occur to me to cross-over to Audi threads,Do they have any?Oh and I owned a 2001 S4 for 3 years and it LIVED in the shop so....Subaru's?What are those lawn mowers? And I know there is a stake financially with Porsche and Audi of some sort but never confuse the 2 ever.Gotta think VW now there is a car!!!!lol lol!!!!

Furball, don't worry, driving an Audi is punishment in itself. No need to rub it in at the party.

They are shopping for a BMW... and they likely come across threads about HPFPs and decide to get a C-Class instead.

Excellent approach, Professor. Something tells me you have used it quite successfully?

Oddly enough, I've yet to be in a situation where I've had to defend my choice in the BMW.

Being a bit long in the tooth as I am, I've come to the conclusion that, in the long run, I'm much better off saying less and listening more. Sounds like furball's friend of a friend, though witty, might quickly dig herself into a hole and come off looking the fool.

Besides, BMW owners have a bad rap at being smug and snotty. I'd prefer not to feed that stereotype. (As, I might point out, you do not.)

More on dowries and goats...

From Wikipedia (so it must be true)

Quote:
In 2006, in the Sudanese goat marriage incident, a Sudanese man named Charles Tombe was forced to "marry" a goat with which he was caught having sex in the Hai Malakal suburb of Juba, Sudan. The owner of the goat subdued the perpetrator and asked village elders to consider the matter. One elder noted that he and the other elders found the perpetrator, tied up by the owner, at the door of the goat shed. The goat's owner reported that, "They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife." The perpetrator was thus ordered to "marry" the goat, pay the cost of the goat and pay a dowry of 15,000 dinar (equating to US$50 in 2006, the GDP per capita was US$1,522 for 2008), with half of the dowry up front. The goat apparently acquired the name "Rose" during the elders' deliberations as part of a joke.

Yes, you are correct. A mule is pretty much standard nowdays, or if you are feelin' all upscale an' fancy-like you can give a horse like dem big city folk.

Inflation, I guess.

Furby, feel free to use my SigPic, it's me in my M3 on a recent cruise. I find that when I forward it to chicks they are immediately interested in me when otherwise they may not be.

The typical BMW fanboy. Ignorant, cocky, and always compensating for something. Never anything constructive just pure ignorance. If you prefer a C class over a similar Audi then you are simply a brand whore.

We are not all ignorant!
And just to prove it, did you know that "A cad grieves; oh slow punk!" is an anagram for Porsche Audi Volkswagen? Coincidence? I don't think so!
