Variable Sport Steering

Does anyone know the turns to lock for the standard and variable sport steeting in the new X3, or at least another model? How much of a differance does it make in parking?

I know the variable sport steering is not the same as active steering, but it still should have less turns to lock given its design.

Anyone know the differences between variable steering and active steering? Just curious. Thanks for any info...

i believe it adjusts the amount of power steering assist only not the ratio.

active changes the actual ratio and assist, variable changes the power steering assist but not the ratio.

Active Steering therefore reduces the amount of change in the steering angle for every movement of the steering wheel. This gives the driver the advantage of more precise steering at higher speeds, and ensures great stability and more comfort.
