Glove box issue -- Loose bowen cable
My glove box would not open and in another thread I found out how to open it (thanks M.Wong)
After opening the glove box the issue is where the cable enters into the latch assembly. The cable attaches to the white plastic rotating actuator OK but the cable assembly is loose thereby not allowing any tension to the latch. There has to be some sort of retainer to hold the cable sheath in place that will allow for the cable assembly to work properly. I did find rectangular clip that dropped to the car floor and it seems to fit next to where the cable feeds. After a few hours of fiddling I cannot determine if it plays a role in the cable operation. Any suggestions? Does anyone have a digital pic of a properly operating mechanism that may help? Thanks! |
