also I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280761282...84.m1438.l2649
Is this enough or do I need anything else. and one last question is if I need the black cable shown in the link? he asks extra 8 dollers for it, should I get it as well?
Thanks for all your helps and information, this is the best forum I have ever been to.
Were you able to use this on a windows 7 64bit computer? Please let me know!

Well I haven't got the cable yet, and btw I didn't buy the one I posted, I bought this one due to suggestions, the chinese one seems to be not that good.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160657246345...84.m1439.l2649

and for the windows...the software won't work on 64x systems...I even tried compatibility modes with no luck...so Im now dual booting with win vista 32...the NCSEXPER installs and runs but still waiting for my cable.
Hope this helped and will update you as soon as my cable recieves.

can anyone please answer these questions clearly. cuz I see everyone helping each other but when it gets to mp3 no one answers correctly.

as someone else stated before there is no MP3 and MP3_FOND in MMIGT (MMI, MMIF)
and about coding the whole car, I asked in another forum and everyone was agreed that this is not an appropriate thing to do and it might brick something. and I also found out that if something is in car backup TRC file it doesnt mean it should be in one of the availale modules.
so is there anything to do with VO to bring these two functions in MMIGT module and then code it??
is there any safe way to code the whole car? has anyone done it? does it work?

or the last question is if this whole thing is BS and this not possible only with coding, and that MakaveliFaison has done something else to get it working.

If anyone around Chicagoland has this software/hardware, and can program my 06 750i sport to roll down all windows and turn on the angel eyes & fogs with one FOB click, and a few other things, I'd love to pay.

Or perhaps if we chicagoland members want to pool in and do a group buy for the hardware/software, and do multiple cars ? Perhaps there is already a community thread for passing/shipping the modules & software around ? PM me if such is the case.

My car came with this option and if you want to close your trunk with the fob key just keep pressing the button until it close.

1. Does anyone know how to disable the warning chime and snowflake icon on the dash when the outside temperature falls below 30 something degrees? It is very annoying, and assumes I can't figure out that it's cold without a warning.

2. Is it possible to change the generic ''Portable Phone'' that shows up in the MMI to something else (iPhone 4S)? I am using the CPT9000 bluetooth adapter if that makes a difference.

3. How can I find out if my car has the latest software updates from BMW for all the modules, and can I use NCS or some other software to do this without a trip to the stealership?

Thanks in advance. Really great thread BTW.

Yes, it's possible, just a matter of finding the keyword that needs to be set to "not activ"
I saw it in a post one time.

INPA has a job to pull the vehicle data. The I-step level tells you the software version from the plant, back-up and when the Dealer last coded it. There is a SIB in our DIY section that you can download and see the software versions available for all BMW's.
