Sounds like he needs to update the software of the module either through NFS or SSS. I had this issue when I was running older software 4-12-2004 i believe was the date that was running, until i recently did a complete software upgrade of all the modules, it takes forever to fully upgrade the software in each module via the OBD2.

But after the SW upgrade and complete encoding of the vehicle to DATEN V39 everything is back in working order,

Do you know which modules he coded for you? I think the only modules he should have changed were the CAS, MMI, HKL, and the LMA. Do you know what software he used to do the coding?? Let me know if you need anymore help. You can hit my coding support guy up at : Coding AT sterlingbmwsucks DOT com , or for general tech questions you can hit my other guy up at Tech_support AT sterlingbmwsucks DOT com

Hope you get your whip fixxed up. Let me know hwo that brake job goes

What do you mean upgrade the Idrive? Convert the knob and upgrade the software to the look and feel like the newer Idrive menu's and screen?

7fig, my car says ece_ll and screen is there.

If you don't mind me asking , what did you change to get it to
close with the trunk button , also what module was it in ?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hey 7Figurez, i can't thank you enough buddy, you are so kind
I'm not a tech person to understand all of this modules and bla bla, except of Blackberry
Today i dropped my car at Manhattan BMW for brakes recall, viper blades and this auto park issue, got as a loaner nice brand new 328 xi, its a few hundred miles on it, so my buddy Joe will take care of my car, and Adrian also said if those futures will be gone after SW upgrade he will get them back to me for free. All i can guess why this Auto Park future is gone because he was messing around my seat belts warning disabling issue, I'm thinking that because others who did visited Adrian did activated all those futures except of seat belts thing and no complaints from them, just my 0.2

^^^^ for "future" reference, they are features...not futures. i do, however, foresee that feature returning in your future.

thanks for corrections, really i love corrections, this way I'm learning more.
I'm 52, until 34 knew nothing about English, also English is my 5th language, so I'm still proud of myself speaking one of most recognizable language in the world.

"that feature returning in your future" good example

I have a quick question for you guys with these software: I was told that the reason why my steering wheel column won't go up or down was because there might be a fault in the steering module. BMW told me that i need a new steering column motor. Has anyone with the steering column issue been able to use the software to fix it? Thanks.

I would suggest that you get the SZL sensor update and recoded before you do anything else. Option 245 should already be enabled unless someone has been messing around with your VO.

Makaveli, No i have not had a chance to hook up my car yet. I have been helping my buddy recode his VW now, but I want to try to enable it this weekend. What were the steps you did to enable the MP3? You added MP3 to your VO and then added the MP3 line into the MMI module? I will get you that TRC file today when I hook up my car also. Let me know bro..
