Driving a MINI-E from London to Scotland

BBC reporter is going to attempt to drive a MINI-E from London to Edinburgh. A little unfair as the MINI-E isn't exactly a production car. BMW never intended the -E to go long distances. One of the legs is longer than the car's advertised range.

The BBC's Brian Milligan is attempting to drive an electric Mini from London to Scotland, using only public charge points.

Just before Christmas, the government proudly announced that 2011 would be remembered as the year the electric car took off.

A Tesla owner has joined in the challenge! Even though he's leaving London 2 days after the MINI-E, he plans to get to scotland before the BBC reporter.
