Plus, since you have the M5 front bumper, I would switch-up and install the black impact strips, instead of the color matched.

For some reason, the color matched strips look weird with the M5 bumper IMO...

Thanks!

+1 agreed. When I get around to doing an M bumper, it's going to have color matched bump strips.

I vote for color matched body strips on non-M E39s!

LOL I think you see too many lowered E39s here. Stock sport is a lot higher. That's about a 2" drop from stock sport. I refuse to go black mouldings. Too M5 looking.

IMO color matched moldings looks better on black, but unpainted moldings do a good job of breaking up lighter colors and keep the car from looking too "mono".

Looks good on white too. If I was not going to color match, I'd have the strips done in gloss black. Still better than the dull grey unpainted look.

I really don't think gloss black would look good on any color other than black.

They don't need to look dull grey, I plasti-dipped my moldings so they'll never look dry or dull.

It would look good on darker colors, like green and blue.

+1 - Definitely way lower than stock. Mine is stock M-sport II suspension and is a lot higher than yours!

It's an ABS plastic AC Schnitzer rep. Got it cheaply (around US$100 painted and shipped) from a seller in Taiwan off eBay. Good fit and paint was a good match (though if you're car isn't black it would be better to get it painted locally to properly match). Also, don't use the crappy 3M tape to fix that they send. Use a hardcore adhesive sealant like Betalink or Sikaflex-227.
